Why Choose Columbus Botanical Garden for Your Next Event? The Columbus Botanical Garden with 22 acres of green space, more than 100 different plants and flowers, in the heart of the city. Both private and easily accessible, the garden offers a scenic backdrop for any occasion. Our mission is to preserve this space while providing the public a unique venue to learn about conservation, environmental awareness and the simple beauty of nature. With your rental of this property, you become our partner in many efforts around the community. An intimate setting, the Farmhouse, can accommodate 100 guests. Built in the 1890s, it has been modernized with a catering kitchen and three restrooms but maintains its old-world feel with elevated ceilings, hardwood floors and wrap-around porches. The spacious brick patio provides a smooth transition from indoors to the outside. Larger parties, up to 250, will have ample room on the acre of manicured grounds outside the Farmhouse. Columbus Botanical Garden Photography Policy The Columbus Botanical Garden is pleased to provide an attractive venue and colorful setting that has become a popular location for all types of photography in the Columbus area. All photography sessions, both private and professional, at the Columbus Botanical Garden shall be scheduled no less than 48 hours in advance of the desired session. The Columbus Botanical Garden reserves the right to deny access to the grounds for photography purposes if a photo shoot conflicts with educational or other events at the Columbus Botanical Garden. Advance scheduling is for everyone’s safety, helps prevent more than one group attempting to use the facility at the same time, and allows staff to schedule irrigation times so that they do not conflict with photography appointments. Photographers working with brides, bridal parties, and other guests who rent the Adams Family Farmhouse for a function may coordinate a photo shoot with the renters, if desired, in advance of the event. Renters of the facility may use the photographer of their choice for the duration of the rental period specified in their rental contract. Professional photographers wishing to take advantage of the Columbus Botanical Garden's attractive backdrops and vistas are asked to support the installation and maintenance of these “ready-made sets” by becoming Columbus Botanical Garden members at the Silver Trowel ($100-249) level or above. Photographers who do not wish to become Columbus Botanical Garden members may schedule shoots on the grounds for a fee of $35 per hour. Non-member photographers who bring clients to the Columbus Botanical Garden without scheduling in advance, or without paying the sitting fee, may be asked to leave the grounds. Professional photographers wishing to donate photographs for the Columbus Botanical Garden's use for promotional purposes in lieu of fees should contact the Columbus Botanical Garden at 706.327.8400 or by email, contactus@columbusbotanicalgarden.org . Both photographers and subjects must stay on walkways or on grass at all times. Please do not pose, walk on, or cut through our planting beds. This includes any area covered with pine straw, even if no plants are visible at the time. Photographers and subjects are also asked to respect all the Columbus Botanical Garden property by not climbing onto fences, handrails, trees, or other structures for photo poses or any other reason. The exposure and visitorship that photographers and their clients bring to the Columbus Botanical Garden is appreciated. Substantial expenditure and effort are made to ensure that the Columbus Botanical Garden is an attractive, educational venue for the entire Columbus community. In order to maintain our aesthetic standards and ensure garden access to all appropriate users, it is crucial that both amateur and professional photographers adhere to this policy.
