About the event
Second Thursday of every month, 10-11 AM 1st – 5th Graders
Splash into the wonders of pond ecosystems in this exciting class at the botanical garden! Kids will explore the hidden world beneath the water’s surface, discovering how plants, animals, and insects all work together to create a balanced ecosystem. Through fun activities and hands-on learning, they’ll uncover the importance of ponds in nature and how we can help protect these incredible habitats!
$5 for members, $7 for nonmembers (per child). Free entry for 1 caretaker.

Budding Naturalist is a monthly program that will ignite children’s curiosity and interest in science and the natural world through observation, exploration, hands-on activities and data collection.
Each hour-long session will include a lesson focused on elements and processes of the natural world and a hands-on activity to reinforce the day’s lesson, consisting of observation/experimentation, data collection and analysis.
Budding Naturalist occurs the second Thursday of each month.
