Children & Family Programs

A PLACE TO LEARN AND GROW

Visit the Columbus Botanical Garden and let your children “learn naturally” in a fun interactive outdoor setting! The Garden offers both guided and self-guided programs giving your children the opportunity to discover all that nature has to offer!

Parents, ask for a scavenger hunt at the admission kiosk! Be sure to visit our NEW Curiosity Coop in the Meadow Garden for a self-led children's activity.

Little Sprouts

FREE for Members!

Little Sprouts is an exposure experience with lessons geared towards children ages 3-5. Have a child that is younger or older? Bring them along too! The lessons and activities will focus on subjects related to the natural environment.

Held on the 1st Tuesday of each month
Time slots: 10am - 11am & 2:30-3:30pm

Budding Naturalist

FREE for Members!

Budding Naturalist is a monthly program that will ignite children's curiosity and interest in science and the natural world through observation, exploration, and hands-on activities.​

​

Held on the 3rd Tuesday of every month.

Seedling Storytime

FREE for Members!​

Seedling storytime is a fun, interactive experience for kids aged 0-2. Children will get to experience a fun story time, sensory activities, a song and dance, and more!

Held on the last Wednesday of each month.

10:00 - 11:00am

Phenology Friday

FREE for Members!​

Garden staff will share what's in bloom and lead a session of observation, drawing, and journaling to record what we see! All ages and skill sets welcome. 

​

Occurs on the first Friday of each month.
