Explore how plants get ready for winter’s rest through quiet changes, adaptations and hidden activities that you might just miss if you aren’t watching.

First Friday of every month! 

Garden staff will share about what's in bloom and lead a session of observation, drawing and journaling to record what we see! All ages and skillsets welcome. Basic supplies will be provided. 

Capture the beauty of nature through a guided painting session of a seasonal bloom with breakfast treats and coffee! Led by local artist Jade Tamaski.

Come learn how to get started with composting with UGA Extension Agriculture and Natural Resource Agent, Erycka Brock Kim and vermicomposting with UGA Extension's Master Gardener Tina Armistead.  Make composting work for you, get ideas on how to incorporate composting in your life with a talk that covers different composting methods to fit your lifestyle. 

Budding Naturalist is the 3rd Tuesday of each month for 1st – 5th Graders.

Get creative this Thanksgiving break with a fun, one-hour ornament-making workshop! Designed for elementary-aged children, this hands-on activity lets kids explore their creativity and make their own unique ornaments to bring home and display throughout the holiday season.

Learn wreath-making techniques from garden staff and volunteers as you create a beautiful wreath on a 14-inch straw form. Greenery, wreath forms, ribbon, and trinkets will be provided. Feel free to bring your own wired ribbon or trinkets to add a personal touch to your creation!

Bring your own clippers if you have them!
Garden clippers will be available for use.
