About the event
Second Thursday of every month, 10-11 AM 1st – 5th Graders
Unearth the secrets of mushrooms in this exciting class at CBG! Kids will dive into the mysterious world of fungi, exploring how mushrooms grow and interact with their surroundings. Through engaging activities and outdoor explorations, they’ll learn to identify different mushroom species, understand their vital role in ecosystems, and discover the fascinating connections between fungi, plants, and the environment.
$5 for members, $7 for nonmembers (per child). Free entry for 1 caretaker.

Budding Naturalist is a monthly program that will ignite children’s curiosity and interest in science and the natural world through observation, exploration, hands-on activities and data collection.
Each hour-long session will include a lesson focused on elements and processes of the natural world and a hands-on activity to reinforce the day’s lesson, consisting of observation/experimentation, data collection and analysis.
Budding Naturalist occurs the second Thursday of each month.
