Fairy Dwelling Workshop

July 27th & August 10th | 1-3pm
For kids ages 8-10 years old
$35 members/ $40 non-members

Join us for a magical afternoon at the Columbus Botanical Garden, where creativity, storytelling, and nature come together in a whimsical workshop to craft your very own fairy dwelling to take home.

Children will listen to an imaginative story and help dream up new tales to inspire their unique fairy home. A guided nature walk will lead participants to collect twigs, leaves, and other found treasures to use in their creations. While children work on their dwellings, adults will receive a special fairy surprise to craft on their own—something magical to add to their child’s creation.

Led by Elaine Clayton, local author and illustrator, participants will leave with sparkles in their eyes, joy in their heart, and a little bit of nature in every hand.

We are seeking talented designers to create one of 25 elfin structures to be displayed within our garden. Each structure will contribute to an immersive experience, celebrating the beauty of nature and sparking wonder in visitors of all ages.

This installation has a fun and whimsical twist for the artists as well. Once committing to being a part of this installation you will be randomly assigned and provided a small wooden structure to use as part of your display and a Georgia native flower as inspiration.
