Calling all rising 2nd - 4th graders! Join us this summer for Columbus Botanical Garden’s pilot kid’s vegetable garden program. The group will meet each Friday in June from 10-12pm to tend to their garden, take part in processing their harvest and end the program with a homemade pizza party! Spots are limited so sign up soon!
Program dates: June 6, 13, 20, 27
Ages: 7-9 years old // Rising 2nd - 4th graders
Program time: 10am - 12pm
Participants must be available to attend all days of the program.
Members $60 // Non-members $75
Adults must remain in the garden during the program. 1 adult will be admitted free each Friday with child’s registration.
Program Overview
Program goal: To offer an opportunity for children to develop a love for gardening by providing hands-on experiences that teach them about plant growth, environmental stewardship, and the importance of healthy eating. Through teamwork and creativity, participants will feel the satisfaction of growing a garden, learn the science behind agriculture, and gain a deeper connection to the natural world.
