About the event
Stop by the Big Oak on Saturday mornings between 9:00AM-11:00AM from September 9th through November 18th and participate in a fun educational activity! Activities are geared towards elementary-aged children but are fun for the whole family. Â Â Activities will be staff, volunteer, or self-led.
September: 9th - Bird Beak Adaptations Match the bird beaks to the correct food source.Â
16th - Leaf Rubbings Identify different trees by their leaves and make your own leaf rubbing art. 23rd - Animal Tracks Match the tracks to the animal that created them.Â
30th - Habitat Match Match the animal to their correct habitat. Â
October: 7th - Bird Nests Learn about different types of bird nests and then build your own.Â

TBD 28th - Fall Colors Go on a color scavenger hunt to find all of the colors of fall and create your own fall leaf creation. Â
November: 4th - Winter Birds Learn about overwintering birds and that food becomes scarce in the winter, then make your own pinecone bird feeder.Â
