About the event
Second Thursday of every month, 10-11 AM 1st – 5th Graders
Join us for fun activities to discover the habitats and behaviors of nocturnal animals like owls, bats, and other night-dwelling creatures. Participants will learn how these animals find food, build homes, and thrive in the darkness, while uncovering the importance of nocturnal ecosystems in nature.
$5 for members, $7 for nonmembers (per child). Free entry for 1 caretaker.

Budding Naturalist is a monthly program that will ignite children’s curiosity and interest in science and the natural world through observation, exploration, hands-on activities and data collection.
Each hour-long session will include a lesson focused on elements and processes of the natural world and a hands-on activity to reinforce the day’s lesson, consisting of observation/experimentation, data collection and analysis.
Budding Naturalist occurs the second Thursday of each month.
