Not-So-Scary-Halloween!

Bring your little ghosts and goblins to The BOOtanical Garden - Not so Scary Halloween to explore the Columbus Botanical Garden while participating in many fun and educational activities, carnival games, inflatables and crafts. Upon the completion of each activity, the kids will receive candy!

Throughout the day there will be Live Bat & Snake Shows, Magic Shows, and a Carnivorous plant program! We will have a fun exploration zone for little botanists 4 and under, along with a chance to dissect an owl pellet. The Garden will be a safe space to explore and learn about nature while incorporating the fun spirit of Halloween.

Concessions will be available for purchase as well as sweet treat vendors!

Also join us for our Scarecrow Contest this year. Judging will take place at BOOtanical!

Live Snake Shows

LIVE snake show with Jason Clark from South Eastern Reptile Rescue! These precious creatures are really not-so-scary, come see them at this year's BOOtanical!

Visit the snake show on the meadow lawn at 3:30pm and 5:30pm.

Live Bat Shows

Experience the wonder of BOOtanical with Live Bat Shows! A-Z Animals will teach us all about Halloween's favorite flying animal!

Visit the bat show at on the meadow lawn at 4:30pm and 6:30pm.

Carnivorous Plant Presentation

See our presentation about MAN-EATING PLANTS! Just kidding, they only eat bugs. Learn all about the cacophony of crucial critter-consuming carnivorous plants!
